Those looking to add the functionality of the stopwatch to the lock screen can check out a new jailbreak tweak called Stoppur by iOS developer Jonathan Winger Lang.

With the tweak installed, should the user begin the stopwatch via the Clock application, the stopwatch time will show on the lock screen in place of the lock screen clock. In doing this, the time is moved to the Status Bar, just like how it appears when the device is unlocked.

The tweak’s options are configured via the Settings application:

Users will find an option to enable and disable the tweak on demand, as well as be able to replace the lock screen clock with the stopwatch time. If you prefer having the lock screen time where it is, you can enable the show panel feature, which shows the stop watch time at the lower left of the lock screen clock. If you enable the replace lock screen clock feature, the time will appear at the bottom left of the stopwatch time.

For those that use lock screen-altering tweaks like Forecast, Springtomize 2, or LockInfo, the tweak comes with some complimentary panel position options so you can manually set the position of the stopwatch panel to meet your needs. (The place where the time appears at the bottom left of the stopwatch time in the first screenshot of this writing is referred to as the panel.)

There doesn’t appear to be any way to control the stopwatch from the lock screen, so unfortunately, the user will need to unlock their device to access the Clock application each time they want to fiddle with the stopwatch. On the bright side, the tweak does let you see your current stopwatch progress right from the lock screen.
