Default 'Grabber Enhancer' Gives You More Control Over Your Camera Grabber

Those of you looking to have more control over the functionality of your Camera Grabber on the lock screen should look into a new free jailbreak tweak called Grabber Enhancer by iOS developer GSquared.

With Grabber Enhancer, you can control whether or not the Camera Grabber even appears on the lock screen, and if you choose to have it on the lock screen, you can configure what the Camera Grabber will do. The options are configured via the Grabber Enhancer preferences pane in the Settings application:

The options Grabber Enhancer gives you for controlling what your Camera Grabber can do include:

    • Sliding up on the Camera Grabber to unlock the device
    • Tapping on the Camera Grabber to unlock the device
    • Sliding up on the Camera Grabber to open the Camera application

Users can also enable and disable the tweak on demand to revert any changes that they make on the fly. If you want to grab Grabber Enhancer, you'll find it for free in Cydia right now from the BigBoss repository.

    Name: Grabber Enhancer
    Price: FREE
    Version: 1.0-30
    Requirements: iOS 6
    Repo: BigBoss
    Developer: GSquared
    Editor's Rating:  3/5

Nice. Should add a option to just tap the camera grabber to open the camera app.

Can u make the grabber invisible and have it still "be there" and function? For us minimalist that would be great.

    In the works...

Also looking into options for minimalists (hiding slider when slide up/tap is set, etc).

Definitely a useful app- for when I decide to use a passcode, and the slider becomes a redundancy.

What would be handy is an option to disable passcode lock for the grabber app (and the grabber app alone!). Sometimes it can be the difference between taking the shot or missing it.
