iPhone 5S Knockoff Surfaces in China
It has been rumored that the next generation iPhone is only a few months away, but vendors in Shenzen China decided to create an iPhone 5s of their own which goes on sale starting tomorrow. Meet the GooPhone i5s!
The GooPhone i5s is a knock-off based on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and is being sold at a price of $149, contact-free. The first 1,000 buyers will be given a special price of only $99. If Apple were to offer an iPhone 5 at a similar price then we're pretty certain a lot more people would be jumping on the deal in a heartbeat.
The knock-off iPhone 5S has 3G cellular networking, a 854 by 840 pixel display at four inches, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera and a five megapixel camera located on the back and runs a 1GHz MediaTek MT6577 dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM.
Based on the video shown, the GooPhone i5s is not as laggy as one would expect for the specs and price you could buy it at- which came as a surprise, but still slow at times. The slowness should be somewhat expected though due to the specs being far from close to what is found in current iPhones. The GooPhone i5s is available over at Android-sale.com for those of you who may be interested in purchasing it. Buyers beware as you’ll end up with what you pay for, a cheap knockoff!

Wow, it surprises me that Modmyi would post this article. It is basically a plug for the mentioned "iphone", despite calling it a "cheap knockoff". Not only does it inform users of the knockoff, it goes as far as telling us where we can purchase it. This seems like quite the double standard, given that any mention of piracy is strictly forbidden and HEAVILY censored... But shady Asian companies (not Samsung THIS time) selling knockoff iPhones is not only okay to talk about, but advertised with direct links....weird.

I'd like to know how it is this company stays in business without Apple suing the $hyt out of them! Talk about patent and copyright infringements on the design?
LOL

That cool, I stick to the real one. I want good power, that a iPhone 4s and a half. No copy allow. I will kick that back to china. Fake stuff is cheap stuff. If you like it then buy it, have now, cry later.

It's funny all you guys are so mad about a Chinese knockoff iPhone running an android OS obviously this Chinese phone is a piece of **** . If you have ever bought any Chinese electronic they are all junk especially the Chinese knockoff phones........ Apple isn't worried about it because well it's just that ... Nothing to worry about .

Yep! Wasn't there a company selling empty cases that looked like an iphone but had nothing in it? I'd love to buy one of those just to freak the crap out of people by destroying it or something because of something silly.
(This freaking soap is to pungent! *Pulls out iphone and begins to smash soap with it*)

You can't sue the black market... On top of that it will only be able to be sold by people to people not corporate to people. As in websites that are already shady like eBay. Apple has no power over suing small things you could hardly call business'. The only thing that can happen is the police taking it down but that would bring down the china economy if they started doing that.
Anyway knock-off any brand has existed for ever in countries like china. I find it funny that the knock offs still provide pretty reliable specs and phones not just bricks.
