Default Lockdown Pro Now Available for iPad - Free Lite Versions Also Launched

Popular jailbreak tweak Lockdown Pro by iOS developer ipodtouchmaster has just been updated today with some additional features, such as being able to hide applications, an all new view all applications screen, and some speed enhancements. In addition to this package, the developer has Thursday afternoon released an iPad version of Lockdown Pro, and a Lite version for the iPhone/iPod touch as well as a Lite version for the iPad.

The Lite versions are completely free, however they are ad-supported and the features are limited. The paid versions of the tweak come with all the features. The Lite versions will allow you to:

    • Password protect any folder or application
    • Enable or disable Lockdown Lite from anywhere with an Activator action
    • Securely lock any photos
    • Use a numeric or alphabetic password for protection

Just to note, the Lite versions do not come with the following features that the paid versions do:

    • Hide applications
    • Launch hidden applications
    • Lock and unlock applications from your home screen
    • Create different passwords for different applications
    • Lock application movement
    • Lock application deleting
    • Delay lock

Lockdown Pro for iPad and Lockdown Pro (iPhone and iPod touch edition) are separate purchases in Cydia. Lockdown Pro for the iPhone and iPod touch is $2.99, and the iPad version of Lockdown Pro is $2.99. All versions of Lockdown Pro and Lockdown Lite are compatible with iOS 6 and are available right now from the BigBoss repository in Cydia.

Keeps booting into safe mode when selecting to lock or hide all apps ? Kinda defeats the purpose of this app?

Yeah...every time it goes to update it's database, crashes to safe. And I have the paid pro version. Useless.

    Won't save customer passwords either.

Please let the developer know and send him a crash report so he can look into the issue.

AppLocker is cheaper iirc and is one purchase for iPad/iPhone. Though it doesn't have all the features listed, it does work. It's a must if you've got iKids.
