'Haptic Keyboard' Makes Your iPhone Vibrate Slightly When You Type
For those of you that like the idea of having your iPhone vibrate slightly when you type on the keyboard as a type of haptic feedback, check out a new free jailbreak tweak called Haptic Keyboard by iOS developer SuperDev. The tweak makes it so that when you tap on keys on the keyboard, the iPhone’s vibrator will buzz ever so slightly to make it feel like you’re using more than a touch screen.
The vibrating is very light, however due to the nature of using the iPhone’s vibrator for long periods of time, the tweak can reduce battery life if you type a lot. The vibrating takes place in every application that you can pull up a keyboard in.
iOS developer Ryan Petrich has a similar tweak called HapticPro, which is paid. HapticPro does a lot more than Haptic Keyboard does, such as allowing you to set the vibration duration and choosing the elements in iOS that will cause the vibrating besides the keyboard (such as pressing buttons, Calculator keys, launching applications, etc.).
Haptic Keyboard seems to have a very random vibration duration, as each time we tapped a key on the keyboard, the vibration might have been stronger or weaker each time. When compared to Ryan Petrich's tweak, HapticPro seems to handle durations a lot better than Haptic Keyboard does.
Haptic Keyboard, even though a little random at times, still works well. It has no options to configure and the only way to stop the vibrating is to uninstall the tweak from Cydia. Haptic Keyboard requires an iPhone, as the iPod touch and iPad do not have vibrators. You can grab the tweak in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now.

I tried the tweak, I do like how it vibrates every other keystroke, but it would be better if you could set the vibration (+,-) for confirmation of the the vibration and turn on and off vs. needing to go into cydia and uninstall it! I tried Hapticpro, and I like that tweak better. So DON't get me wrong, This is a nice tweak, BUT it could have so much more user flexibility and more options like hapticpro has to offer
