Planetbeing: iOS 6.1.2 Jailbreakable on iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, Possibly Others

iOS hacker planetbeing has just announced via Twitter that Tuesday’s release of iOS 6.1.2, which fixes an Exchange calendar bug that quickly drains the iOS device's battery life, is jailbreakable on the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini (Wi-Fi).
The hacker also says that he is not yet able to test the rest of the iOS devices at this point in time, however since the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini are jailbreakable on iOS 6.1.2, it’s looking good for people with other iOS devices as well.
With iOS 6.1.2 being jailbreakable, the evasi0n iOS 6 untethered jailbreak tool will likely be updated to support the software update just like it was for iOS 6.1.1 on the iPhone 4S.
As the hackers release more information, we will continue to keep you updated.

I think it may be good that apple has had other issues. Gives them less time to plug for jailbreak.

So if i update the evasion package in cydia i can update to 6.1.1 ( or later)without having to rejailbreak or reinstall my tweaks etc? Just wondering.
Or will i have to do the initial process again?

Probably a dumb question....but if ppl update to the latest OS (6.1.2) will all Cydia apps still work? Or will Authors have to update to be compatible?

lol, it's bad with me. I sometimes do it even if I know there will be no jailbreak anytime soon. I have a problem I think

I would say most likely all the cydia apps that work on 6.1 will work with 6.1.2 seeing as it is just a very minor bug fix update.

My two accounts rely heavily on Calendars for my job. And I've been having to nearly cripple my phone to get thru the day with battery life. It's been getting worse. I drained from 100% to 27% by 2PM today with moderate to heavy use. It's gotten worse recently. I definitely have the bug. Can't test by turning it off since Exchange calendars are central to my job.
Here to help if I can.
If I can't - I know someone who can.
