Default Show Playing Music in the Status Bar With 'NowPlaying on Status Bar'

Anyone who uses their iOS devices to play music will probably agree that song information is an invaluable tool. But how do you display song information almost anywhere in a convenient way that doesn’t get in the way of anything? – Try the Status Bar!

A new free jailbreak tweak called NowPlaying on Status Bar by iOS developer softboysxp will display the currently playing track’s name and artist in the Status Bar. It will strobe between the clock, song artist, and song title at a readable speed, which makes it easy to read, and goes just fast enough that it won’t keep you from being able to see your time when you need it.

This feature comes with Music Controls Pro, which just today went live in the BigBoss repository for iOS 6.0+. So it all comes down to preference – this tweak is also free, while Music Controls Pro comes with more features for a price tag.

NowPlaying on Status Bar requires iOS 6 and has no options to configure. If you like music and want an easier way to know what you’re listening to while you use your iOS device, you should check this tweak out!

Is there not a tweak called music bar or something like that already

It's MUSIC BANNERS and it does something similar. Unfortunately the NOW PLAYING app is not working under 6.1.1 as nothing happens.

    Nice!

I currently use Music Controls Pro 6, PURELY for this feature, but I've recently been having problems with battery drain. This could be exactly what I'm looking for.

MusicInfo is kind of the same, but only shows the song for 5 seconds when the track changes, with no option to change default - how stupid is that? I want to see the song title whenever I want to, not have to rip my phone out of my pocket just in time when the track changes.

Seriously, you only have two posts here, and both are designed to slam MC Pro? What's your issue??

Sorry dude, my only issue was wanting to fix the problem. I think MCPro is great, unlike MusicInfo which i am slamming above. I mean, I bought it twice just to use one feature of it!
