iOS 6 Untethered Jailbreak Tool evasi0n Version 1.1 Now Available for Download

The evad3rs have just updated the download links on the evasi0n Web site with downloads to version 1.1 of the evasi0n jailbreak tool. The evasi0n jailbreak tool can be used to jailbreak untethered any iOS 6, iOS 6.0.1, iOS 6.0.2, or iOS 6.1 device on Mac OS X, Windows, or Linux.

The update to version 1.1 includes the fixes that were released to jailbreakers in the form of an evasi0n 6.0-6.1 untethered jailbreak Cydia package this afternoon. The update should fix the problem people are experiencing with the Weather application crashing and with the long boot times.

If you have jailbroken already, you should upgrade the evasi0n iOS 6.0-6.1 untethered jailbreak package in Cydia rather than re-run the updated tool over your existing jailbreak. New jailbreakers should use the updated version 1.1 evasi0n tool to jailbreak their devices.

With iOS 6.1.1 on the horizon, it would be a good idea to get all of your devices jailbroken before iOS 6.1.1 is released to the public, as it is expected to patch the evasi0n jailbreak exploits. Our guide on jailbreaking your iOS 6 device with evasi0n can be found here.

*Update* I just finished JB my iPhone 5 on 6.1 and everything worked just fine. No weather app crashing or long boots. I waited for the evasi0n 1.1 update, so this was the first time I JB my iPhone since the evasi0n release.

**Update 2** My weather app was just fine after the JB and restarting, but after downloading things from Cydia I noticed that it started crashing. I'm not sure which Cydia app caused this...but I'm going to uninstall some apps and see if that does something.

***Update 3*** After uninstalling Winterboard my weather app started working again. My guess is that it's messing something up. Hopefully this will all be fixed shortly!

No need at all. Just update the evasi0n package in cydia.

He just did the jailbreak. He has not even had time to dl anything. Beside that only messed up the boot up.

For some reason, my Cydia doesn't like to open fully after a while. It will only open up to the mini page,and you can't access anything. I had this problem yesterday after I installed Auxo,and thought that was the reason - so I restored,and re-jailbroke. Everything was cool, until about 10 minutes ago - same thing started happening with Cydia again...SO, I tried reboots,resprings - a bunch of different things to see if it would get it working again - but to no avail. I figure, ok,I'll restore and re-jailbreak again....so I open iTunes,back up the phone,and hit restore - error, can't restore,and phone is now in recovery mode. I plug it in again,and iTunes asks if I want to restore AND update? Is this 6.1.1 out already? I didn't take the chance to jumping to an update,and getting screwed for another 6 months...

It's happening to people that used it before and restored device instead of setting up as new.

i do . there are the steps i did fot it

- did a fresh restore as a new iphone of my 4s
- did the jailbreak
- go to cydia and make the updates
- reboot twice
- installing ******

and my weather app works fine but i think the issue can come from winterborad
