How to Jailbreak your iPhone 5 or iOS 6.x iDevice with evasi0n

Anyone succeeded to download Auxo yet ? the purchase button doesn't appear, only an "install button" after a wail, and if you press it, the download fails because it says you need to purchase it.

not just auxo, guess it fails on all paid apps.. im just installing free apps for now

So did all of you restore your do a DFU itunes restore before JBing? Is it necessary?

I did, just because I had previously updated to 6.1 by OTA. Battery was worse when I did that, than it is with the DFU full software wipe and install. Dont know that it is necessary, but probably just advisable

The Jailbreak worked flawless but like all other jailbreaks the first day Cydia is lagging because of everyone including me is trying to download app's.. But i am happy the Jailbreak is finally out.

So my iPhone 4 was on Patching Kernel for 10 minutes then it restarted, but now it seems to be stuck on the Apple Logo. Anyone else get this? Should I wait or do a reset?

Update: After 2 hard resets it finally booted up.

when I refreshed cydia there was an update for the evasi0n untethered jailbreak. I installed it and now i'm stuck at apple logo.

force shutdown your device & power it on again, loads up quick :-) mine done the same, iPhone5.

My 4s jailbreak went smoothly took no more than 5 minutes but the wife's 4s has been stuck on "finding offsets..." for 10 minutes.

I think I'll go ahead and do it just to be safe. I assume this means not to restore my last backup after jailbreaking? I have some apps with data I'd like to keep, but want a safe JB at the same time.
