Springtomize 2 Gets iOS 6 Support, New Features, Free Upgrade for Existing Owners

Filippo was developing for iOS 5.1.1. Not iOS 5.0.1. This is the reason we always recommend to get to the latest jailbreakable firmware before jailbreaking. Compatibility, compatibility, and compatibility.

If you're going to jailbreak tomorrow, I suggest you go to iOS 6.1 and not iOS 6.0/iOS 6.0.1/iOS 6.0.2.

I'm well aware of that, but it didn't state it would no longer work. Thus was my point, it worked before the update and the description simply states iOS5 & 6. It was said to help people who are still at that firmware since it wasn't stated, as for upgrading, that was obvious, I guess thanks anyways.

You obviously have no clue how iOS handles RAM. Maybe Simon or Suby will explain it, I'm tired of explaining it.

But I found the switch in Springtomize to turn off MultiTasking on my 4S and it worked exactly as I just described in my last post. So I must know more than you think! .. As soon as I turned off multitasking the AppSwitcher is disabled. Now when I launch an app - as I look at my RAM indicator in the status bar it drops by anywhere from 20-50MB.. As soon as I hit the home button - the RAM, within 2 seconds goes back up by the same amount as it dropped while the app is open. So my hope has been realized about how this ability of Springtomize can work! I'm excited!

Simon and I agree 100% on this. This is one of the reasons that I switched to a iPhone. While your watching and worrying about your ram, I'm doing the things I want and letting the OS handle it like it was designed to.

I like ONLY the app I'm working on to be loaded in RAM at a given time. Not the last 10 things I've opened. With a jailbreak phone you're always running low on RAM (well at least with only 512 - iP5 has 1GB). So I'm just wanting to minimize the App switcher ram hog thing.

What do you do when you want to copy fields from one app and paste them in another app, but you can't do it all at once? Multitasking is amazing.

If iOS didn't have automatic RAM management, then I would agree manual management was necessary... lol

That's why we have icons on a springboard to click on, Simon. Launching the app switcher is more click strikes. Waste of time and adds more time to get to app than just relaunching from SB. App Switcher was a waste for me.

Even if you click on it from the springboard and it is loaded in the app switcher, it doesn't have to fully reload. It just picks up from its suspended state.

If the app is suspended in the background and you open the app from the springboard rather than the task switcher, it's the same execution.
