I agree that a prerequisite should be to upgrade to 6.1.

Just to play Devil's Advocate here... It's conceivable that as soon as Apple gets wind of these exploits they could quickly patch even just one of them, release 6.1.1 and instantly stop signing 6.1 (as they did with 6.0.1/6.0.2). Then folks wouldn't be able to upgrade to 6.1. Simultaneously releasing the jailbreak on all 6.x versions takes that option away from Apple. It'd be very tough/impossible for the devs to go back and retroactively work on an OS they can no longer restore to. I believe planetbeing and musclenerd know what they're doing :-)

Fingers crossed, all the calendars on the evasi0n site DO say "3" on them so hopefully they stick to their word. Hope they release a MAC/PC 6.1 JB, and continue to progressively work/release on others during the week, that way a good majority of us are satisfied for the time being

I usually keep shut. But I have to say your lack of respect towards the dev team working on a jailbreak that YOU are going to install onto YOUR device(s) probably for free because You haven't or won't donate is total bs. If you don't like that the website that the dev team has is giving us all a progress report then don't go to the website! It's that simple! As far as I can tell ur the only one complaining. Be happy we are getting a jailbreak. If you don't want to know the progress then don't come onto this forum or the dev teams website. I hope I didn't offend anyone but enough is enough don't you think guys?

All the iOS devices on the Evadsi0n website have the 3rd of the month on the calendar app, and sunday is the 3rd of February, so it seems like a **** move not to release it tomorrow

They put up a website, hinted on a specific day, so yeah i think they got my hopes up, they could have just waited until most of the testing was done, instead planet actually begs Apple to release 6.1 already, sorry if you didn't like my comment but this is how I feel, oh and even some devs updated their apps just because they thought the jailbreak was near release too.

The reason the hackers beg apple to release 6.1 is because they were still in beta stages. Can't work on a jailbreak if if its not released to the public. I understand your comment and respect it but they did say sooner or later. So technically you should be upset it wasn't out yesterday

Wow. Bro there's thousands of stupid people who bring hype and excitement and anger to the devs. Do you think these people care if he stayed up all night? Do you think these kids even know who's playing in the Super Bowl? They won't donate. It's a jailbreak. There not Hollywood actors. Some will donate. Some wont. IMO I doubt there's a strategy to planet beings methods.
