So, are any of these apps compatible with iphone 5, after all there isn't a single working jailbreak for it yet and that makes me wonder how compatible any of them are.

Intelliborn pulled this same crap when they updated from ios4 to ios5. Guess they are gonna do it for every update! Look around before giving these people more of your money for a compatibility update! Companies like this don't deserve your loyalty!

TetherMe is iOS 6-compatible and unlocks iOS' native tethering feature. Doesn't add any app icons to the home screen or any additional interfaces. I like how it takes advantage of what iOS already provides.

What ever happened with the AT&T crackdown on tethering? Was it all bluff or did they actually change plans on those who tethered? Is it still considered safe for those who don't tether a lot?

All of the carriers can still tell when you're not tethering legitimately. Everyone takes a risk on their own watch when they download tethering apps/tweaks.

You can't really hide anything. They will know if they find you. That goes for all apps.

Which involves tweaking the code and designing larger graphics. Nothing groundbreaking. If every other developer can do it and do it without having to charge for an update then intelliborn should be able to too.

My thinking is it would probably be more accepted charging for major updates to your software, like releasing a 2.0 of it with a bunch of new features, rather than charging extra to use the same app/tweak on an update of the OS it runs on.

I'm aware they can tell (obviously that's what gave them the ability to send out notifications to those who were tethering a lot) if you tether. I just don't remember seeing anything from anyone who actually had their unlimited plan taken away and put on tethering plans by AT&T, or if anyone has gotten those cease and desist notifications recently.

How much did you tether before you got the notice? Did you stop? I've tethered occasionally for years and never got a notice.
