The evasi0n iOS 6 Jailbreak is 75% Done, Linux Being Worked On, Private Testing Begins

Just yesterday, the iOS 6 jailbreak team known as evad3rs had updated the evasi0n Web site showing that the evasi0n jailbreak tool had been completed for Windows and Mac OS X, however it was being worked on for Linux. The Web site, at the time, showed a 68% progress indicator, and told us that the private beta testing would be the next step.
This morning, the progress bar has budged to 75%. According to the evasi0n Web site, the Linux tool is still being worked on, however private beta testing for the Mac OS X and Windows versions of the tools has commenced. We can assume that the private beta testing is only being made available to the hackers themselves, to ensure that nothing is leaked ahead of time.
After the private beta testing has finished, an extended beta testing will begin, as the evasi0n Web site indicates. Pod2g hinted on his Twitter this morning that progress was being made on the tool an that it will be out soon. He also made us aware of a Reddit post from planetbeing, where planetbeing explains the importance of ensuring that the GUI is done right before releasing it to the public.
When released, the evasi0n jailbreak will support iOS 6.0, iOS 6.0.1, iOS 6.0.2, and iOS 6.1 on all of the devices that can run it, including Apple’s new iPhone 5, iPod touch 5G, fourth-generation iPad, and the iPad Mini. Apple TV 2 will not be supported at first. We’ve put together a short guide so you can get your iOS device(s) ready for the jailbreak, and a list of jailbreak tweaks you should check out when the jailbreak debuts.

Linux Users shouldn't be getting a Jailbreak Tool, they don't even have iTunes, and if someone uses such a crap OS he shouldn't have Apple Devices at all.
Sent from Ubuntu on my MBP.

If they released the Mac version first wouldn't that kill off some of the traffic for the website? Instead of all of them at once?

Everybody! Please do remember to donate to their paypal account! They have worked very hard for us and could definitely use the positive feedback. I know they are making money via advertisments but come on! send them a couple dollars! $5 wouldn't harm me. I am sure you guys could donate too. I mean you own an apple product. You aren't that poor lol
