'Topography for Google Maps' Adds a Topography Option to the Google Maps App

For anyone trying to add even more functionality to their already awesome Google Maps application from the App Store, a new free jailbreak tweak is available from Cydia from Ryan Petrich’s beta repository called Topography for Google Maps by iOS hacker and developer Ryan Petrich.
If you’ve ever opened the sidebar of Google Maps before, allowing you to switch between Satellite and Map view, hide and show traffic, and hide and show public transit information, then you’ve seen the last option allowing you to open Google’s Google Earth application.
Ryan Petrich’s new jailbreak tweak replaces the Google Earth shortcut with a new Topography option, which will enable the hidden Topography view in Google Maps, as shown above. The Topography option will appear right where the Google Earth shortcut used to appear in the sidebar:

In Topography view, you will be able to see the naturally occurring physical features of the map. This includes mountains and other land formations. It differs from Satellite view because of the lack of buildings and roads. It’s just for barebones viewing of the Earth’s uneven terrain.
If you want to add the Topography option to your jailbroken iOS device with the new Google Maps application installed on it, add Ryan Petrich’s beta repository by following the steps below:- tap on the Manage tab
- tap on the Sources button
- tap on the Edit button
- tap on the Add button
- enter the following URL and then tap Add Source:
Since the tweak replaces the Google Earth shortcut altogether with the Topography option, note that you will not be able to open Google Earth from the Google Maps application anymore with this tweak installed.PHP Code:http://rpetri.ch/repo/

Man, I miss cool little tweaks like this. Are we ever going to see a JB for the IP5?
