'Clock Delete' Adds Swipe to Delete Gestures to iOS Clock Application
Swipe to delete gestures seem to be an important part of Apple’s design principles, so it’s strange to see that some applications in iOS get the feature, while some do not. Design calls for consistency throughout, so the jailbreak community is ready to correct what Apple may have forgotten.
One recent jailbreak tweak dubbed Delete Contact enabled the swipe to delete gestures in the Contacts application, however another new jailbreak tweak is enabling these swipe to delete gestures in the Clock application.
The tweak is completely free and it's called Clock Delete by iOS developer lordscotland. Instead of tapping on the edit button in the top left of the screen to bring up the red buttons you tap on to reveal a delete button, the tweak adds Apple's native swipe to delete gestures to both alarms and clocks from the Clock application as shown above.
The swipe to delete method is much faster and more efficient than tapping on a total of three buttons to delete a clock or an alarm, and it just feels more native. It’s a subtle change to the Clock application, but it’s well worth the install. iOS users that really don’t make any use the Clock application may not really need to install this tweak. It's also nice how it works seamlessly as you would have expected Apple to implement it.
Clock Delete has no options to configure and the developer has made the source code available for the public to view for themselves at this link.
