Twitter Will Reportedly Unveil Photograph Filters Before the Holidays

Photo filters are a popular way to stylize photographs on iOS devices – many applications, such as Instagram, Snapseed, and even Facebook allow us to edit our photographs with filters before we share them with our friends and followers. Soon, we will be able to count Twitter in that list.
Twitter is reportedly working to launch a photograph filter service just before the holidays so that we can Tweet edited photographs to our Twitter feeds for all of our followers to see. The filters, just like in many other applications, will allow us to alter the photograph’s natural colors to offer effects that make photographs more fun and different to look at from the rest.
AllThingsD reports that the photograph filters will be available in a Twitter application update, which is currently in its testing phases.
Applications such as Instagram already come with features to Tweet photographs that you alter in the application, so it should be interesting to see how the two applications compete and whether or not people will put down their Instagram addictions to use Twitter’s photograph filters instead.
It should be interesting to see what kinds of different photograph filters Twitter can drum up.
