Apple Retail Employees Now Get Popular Paid iOS Apps Free
Apple retail employees will enjoy free popular paid iOS apps as part of a new perk called “App Discovery.”
The details of the new program were discussed at quarterly Apple retail meetings according to several sources who attended said meetings. The new program will give Apple retail employees free access to certain popular paid App Store apps, but it is still unclear if this is a permanent change or a limited time program for the holidays.
Retail employees who want to download one of the popular apps will do so by using a redemption code provided by Apple. The code comes at no cost to the user. Apps like Fruit ninja are among those available for free to employees, with the remainder of the free apps likely belonging to the catalogue of Apps apple has installed on iOS demo units in their stores.
The program, while a nice gesture to employees during the holiday season, is most likely being used as a way to familiarize employees with popular apps before the holiday season is in full swing.

It's a nice little perk no mater what the reason is

I wish I had a miniature elephant that fit in the palm of my hand. I would pick him up and he'd lift up his trunk and stand on his back legs and say PRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPPPHHHHHHHH and I would say yes little elephant i love you too.

I'm confused. These things are usually done so that employees can tell other potential customers about it and generate purchases, but it they are already popular then they are the apps that need it less than others. Strange. They should be promoting in a way that churns the catalog.
