Cellhelmet iPhone 5 Cases Now Available for Pre-order

Back in July, ModMyi showed you the Cellhelmet TPU case for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. The case itself was very durable, but the best part was the company guarantee that came with it – if your iPhone was ever damaged while in the case, Cellhelmet would promise to replace the damaged part(s) throughout one whole year after buying their iPhone case for just a $50 handling fee. You can use the guarantee as many times as you need to throughout the year. This guarantee is valid even if your AppleCare warranty is expired or if you're jailbroken, and you can continually buy Cellhelmet cases year-after-year to continually refresh your Cellhelmet guarantee.
Today, Cellhelmet has announced that they are making available for pre-order the iPhone 5 version of the Cellhelmet TPU case. The case will come with the same great guarantee that came with the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S Cellhelmet case, but check it out, the iPhone 5 version of the case has been completely redesigned and it’s now much more pocket-friendly!

The new, slim design of the case means that it will feel better in your hand and you won’t have so much of a feeling that there’s a brick in your pocket. The form-factor of the case wraps entirely around the iPhone, offering side protection, rear protection, and also frontal protection through the raised edges that keep the iPhone’s screen from ever touching a surface.
The iPhone 5 Cellhelmet TPU case comes in eight different colors: clear, smoked, blue, green, orange, red, pink, and purple. All of these cases are transparent, so you’ll be able to see the gorgeous design of the iPhone 5, including the Apple logo through the case.
These cases will cost you $49.99 each and they will begin shipping December 31st of this year. This means you should be able to receive the case very early next year, probably January, making it very easy to keep track of the status of your Cellhelmet guarantee. The price is very fair, considering that many good iPhone cases are around this price range, but none of them come with a one-year damage protection guarantee.
The damage protection only covers United States and Canada residents and does not cover water damage or scratched aluminum on the iPhone 5 unibody. You will need to register your iPhone case within 30 days of purchase for the guarantee to kick into action.

Actually looks like a pretty nice case...especially considering their guarantee. Has anyone here ever bought a Cellhelmet? Just wondering what their reputation is when it comes to damage claims.
