Bugsy, it can't work two ways for two different people without ONE of you either doing something wrong - or one of you lying. Simon is correct. Both items work perfectly in new app. You are doing something wrong or have something set differently than the rest of us. Period. The app is 'not broken' as you're attempting to imply.

Watching YouTube videos works fine for me.

Tap the status bar to return to top and attaching an image seems to be the only issues I see so far.
