New Angry Birds Star Wars Trailer Shows Space Gameplay
Just this week, Rovio teased us with actual Angry Birds Star Wars game play. The video showed how the new Angry Birds would carry out the special abilities of characters in the Star Wars series. Unfortunately, all of the levels the video showed were simply ground levels, which meant no wacky physics.
In a sigh of relief, Rovio today has launched another teaser trailer that shows Angry Birds Star Wars also taking place in outer space. Not only is the scenery space-related, but the level will also be adopting the physics of outer space that Rovio had worked on with NASA. That being said, Angry Birds Star Wars will be combining three of Rovio's assets – Star Wars, space, and the original gravity-oriented Angry Birds game play.
In the video, you can also see the pigs appearing as TIE space fighters and orbiting masses in outer space. You appear to be able to use C3PO (he appears to be a strange hybrid between a bird and a golden egg) and R2-D2 as ammunition against them. The physics will twist and turn C3PO and R2-D2 around as they fly across multiple gravity locations in outer space before reaching the target – the pigs. You'll also notice their interesting abilities, as each character-based bird will have in the game.
Angry Birds Space will be available for download in the App Store on November 8th (less than a week from today). If you’re a fan of either Star Wars or Angry Birds, keep your eyes peeled for it!

Can you post iOS-friendly links to videos in addition to your embedded links? There's got to be an iOS app-friendly way of linking, right?
Copy/pasting the YouTube code from Safari to the YouTube app works, but...
