Get Your Halloween Gaming On With Zombiewood for iOS by Gameloft

There are two great things about Halloween: candy and zombies. Unfortunately your iOS device won’t give you candy when you want it, but it can give you zombies. Especially with a new free game called Zombiewood by Gameloft.
In Zombiewood, you are the star in a video shoot in the middle of a zombie invasion of Los Angeles. You are given a gun and are expected to shoot all the zombies you can, while the director of the video shoot gives you a checklist of things to do in order to make his video shoot the best video shoot ever:

When you begin a game, you will notice two touch-based joysticks on the screen – one on the right side of the screen and one on the left side of the screen. The joystick on the right side of the screen handles your shooting, as your character will face and shoot in the direction you pull on the joystick. The joystick on the left is used for walking around. You will have to operate both joysticks at the same time to be efficient at the game:

Your character does have a health bar that will depreciate as the zombies attack you. Your ammunition levels will also be recorded and you will reload as you run out of bullets. That being said, it's a good idea to keep moving. As you mow down the zombies, some will drop coins that you can walk over to collect. These coins are used for unlocking new weapons and other in-game content:

Zombiewood comes with 11 different video shoots to play through and Gameloft promises “regular content updates” that will bring more video shoots to play through in the future. There are also 10 different game modes.
As you play through Zombiewood, you can level up and rise through the leaderboards to compete with friends. This information is shared through your Gameloft Live account, which is the same for the rest of your other Gameloft games. It includes Facebook integration so you can invite your friends from Facebook to play too.
After giving the game for a spin ourselves, the graphics are just excellent, although we wouldn’t expect anything less from Gameloft. The lighting from the firing weapons and blood splatter from the zombies are graphically impressive-looking. The game play is fun too, as you get to mow down crowds of zombies as they pop out of the ground and start following you. At some point in the game, the zombies may become "insane," turning red while becoming stronger and faster.
If you’re up for a time-killer game that’s free and awesome, Zombiewood is a great game to take a look at. It even supports the iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5G's new 4-inch display. It’s very new, so a lot of the content still says “coming soon,” but this will all change in time.

I played a few levels so far and it is kinda fun. Especially considering free. Nice graphics and good controls as well.
