Foxconn Acknowledges Last Week's Factory Disputes, Denies Workers on Strike
Today Foxconn confirmed reports of two separate workplace disputes that surfaced over the weekend.
The disputes in question occurred between factory line workers and quality assurance personnel on October 1 and 2 at the company’s Zhengzhou plant. Reports last week claimed that thousands of workers had started a work-stoppage in response to the incidents. However, Foxconn claims that is not the case.
"There has been no workplace stoppage in that facility or any other Foxconn facility and production has continued on schedule." — Foxconn
Expect more information on the current state of Foxconn’s Zhengzhou plant to leak out in the coming week, especially if the work stoppage becomes enough to affect iPhone production.
