Some Users Experiencing Wi-Fi Problems After Upgrading to iOS 6

Apple’s iOS 6 release didn’t came and went with a few minor hiccups, most notably an embarrassingly simple Wi-Fi snafu.
The problem stems from the way mobile Safari handles network verification. In order to connect to a Wi-Fi network through Safari the browser loads a special page, which apparently went down earlier today.
The issue plagued iPad and iPhone users alike, but Apple appears to have fixed the issue for most users as the problem was server-side on Apple’s end. However, for those that are still having Wi-Fi troubles heading into your Wi-Fi settings and setting HTTP Proxy to auto is a potential solution. Others have had success simply resetting their network settings.Based on the claims, the issue has arisen from a network verification process baked into the software, wherein the OS attempts to load a dummy page on Apple.com to detect if a users is connected to a paywalled network. Unfortunately, however, the verification page seems to lead to a 404 error, resulting in an inability to connect to Wi-Fi for many users. — AppleInsider
Have any MMi readers run into problems after upgrading iOS 6?

If all fails try reset your router.
If you are on a WAP2 router, do above and then below.
Let it connect to a WEP Router then connect it to a WAP2/1 router.

Thats why people should wait to update.
There are always bugs and in a few days or weeks they will release 6.0.1
I heard that some of the new features like the new Siri and maps wont be turned on for a few weeks so anyone after those features will have to wait anyway.
I"m guessing the jailbreak will also be a few weeks away as they will be waiting for 6.0.1 before they release it.
Will the dev jailbreak for 6.0 GM be released for the public 6.0 with Cydia?
Even if it is tethered its still a jailbreak. How many times do you reboot your idevice anyway? I reboot when I jailbreak and thats about it.

Yea they have been working for the US but the rest of the world are still missing out.
I think it was on the Apple website about IOS6 that the features will be turned on in a few weeks after the release of IOS6 and the iPhone5.
If it wasn't there it was here in the news.
Oh, Siri and Maps are still in Beta. If they were final they would be working properly all over the world and as they both dont they are still in beta. If they dont say beta they are a poor release. They are as good as beta releases.

For those saying they don't have panorama you do realize you have to enable it in option while the camera app is open. Then it will switch to panorama once you click on panorama under options. Took me a bit to figure that out.

Why has Apple still not enabled Siri on the iPhone 4 and turn by turn on the maps app, when the JB community has proven Siri works on the device with no issues? Looks like I'll still be waiting for a JB before upgrading as I'm sure the community will come up with better solutions and as always show Apple how to do it!!

Had this problem on a 4s. I just waited 20 mins and it connected fine. I wonder how long it’ll be before there are reports for batteries draining fast, it has happened on every one of apple’s big software .0 releases.
