Samsung's Anti-Apple Campaign Doesn't Seem to be Doing Too Well
Apple and Samsung have been going at it for quite some time now and there will always be people who have their own preferences and like to keep it that way. Samsung has been doing its fair share of anti-Apple advertising, this was seen most recently with the “It doesn’t take a genius” advertisement which surfaced just this past weekend.
As part of its anti-Apple campaign, the Samsung Mobile USA Facebook page recently uploaded a picture of the Samsung Galaxy S III and asked people the following question: If you could only take one electronic device on to a deserted island, what would it be? Much to Samsung’s surprise, the majority of the comments didn’t lead to what they expected to hear. Many users ended up leaving comments stating “iPhone” or “iPhone 5” instead of choosing the Galaxy S III.
That is certainly a blow to Samsung’s efforts as one can imagine the effectiveness of the campaign being lackluster if such a response is being given. It puts the company in a bad spot and although it makes Apple fanboys seem a bit obnoxious, it seems to be pretty clear which device seems to be in more demand.

Hahaha!! That's brilliant. Although I'm sure people are just saying iPhone to Troll Samsung.

And if Apple had a Facebook post like this everyone would say Samsung... This is the Internet... It's not exclusive to poor Samsung.
Oh and look at all those Apple fans posting on a Samsung page...HOW DARE THEY! Apple sites are for Apple talk only and Samsung sites are only for Samsung talk.

It might be Samsungs page but they opened a topic up for discussion. Therefore anyone can say what phone they want regardless if it is Samsungs page or not. A lot of people like Samsungs page on facebook no because they like Samsung but because a lot of mobile apps say things like "To get more credits do these activities:" and below will list "Like Samsung Mobile USA on Facebook"

If Time Magazine had asked the question you'd probably get more serious answers....like a satellite phone or battery powered fire starter.

The guy that replied "electric boat" is the smartest of all of them!

Yes, a mobile phone would be pretty useless, no matter who made it... Unless it had a satellite uplink...

The war of words between both camps is getting pretty heated. It's only a matter of time before there are death threats and sever beatings outside Apple stores by Samsung/ Android fanatics, lol.

Yeah...I thought about that as I was typing it, but decided to just go with it. I was assuming that the electronic device was the ONLY thing we were bringing, so the option was an electric fire-starting mechanism or no fire at all.
BTW, regardless of the fire starting tool, it will eventually run out. A cigarette lighter will eventually run out of gas or flint, a flint stick will eventually be worn down to nothing, etc.
