Video Leaks Showing Alleged iPhone 5 Booting Up
Now less than a week away, the Apple iPhone 5 rumor mill is teeming with new leaks each day, and the latest leak allegedly shows Apple’s new iPhone booting up.
MIC Gadget originally reported on the photos and video that showed up on Vgooo.com, claiming to show an iPhone boot up to a screen warning the device is not associated with a registered developer account.
The video compares the white iPhone 4S and the new white iPhone 5, which features the same design indicated by numerous leaks. The only really questionable element is a fourth hole at the top of the device next to the camera. Also, the proximity sensor and camera have swapped positions as well, with the front facing camera now centered on the device.
The only other piece of the leaked device that looks suspect is the home button which appears to be a poor match quality wise for the rest of the device. The other indicators and markings appear to match up This could mean the device pictured about is some sort of working prototype or debugging unit that leaked out of Foxconn’s hands.

Fake written all over. Iphone 5 screen is dimmer, the video doesnt zoom in on the screen when booting, y did he have to keep the phone on a surface ( stationary position) when booting. The boot logo animation os super imposed!!!

You can see when the fake ip5 boots the reflection of his hand disappears. while the ip4s hand reflection is still there. super imposed. it's the Goophone. if you look at pics of the Goophone, the home button square is slightly tilted. Which is what is in this video. Gonna be a ugly phone anyway.

Hate it or not. The leak will prove to be true on Sept 12. Most likely has the A5x chip also.

I'm not saying it's the real deal, but everything you've said can be explained.
1) The brightness was set to low or maybe auto brightness wasn't on.
2) The camera was on a tripod with no zoom.
3) He didn't want to hold both phones at the same time and most people prefer to put something on a table when videoing something on the screen.
4) I have no opinion about that.

Since the back was taped up, maybe it was one of those goophones that they have there with a custom boot animation and lockscreen that looks like a dev program error?
Idk.
Edit: whoa and then all of these other comments appeared out of nowhere and this possibility was already discussed.
Never mind.

Isn't this the same people that release the goophone?
Thats why the back logos are covered up, its probably the goophone.
I agree. When the leaks and whatnot said its going to be longer I thought it will look stupid and this phone does.
I think they should stop making the same look and go for something new. They are complaining others are copying their style so make something new and see what the competition does.Last edited by NakedFaerie; 09-05-2012 at 11:23 PM.

FAKE
Look at the bottom left corner of the screen prior to booting up; its fuzzy...
After powered on, the lower left corner of the screen gets crisp!
This clearly shows you its been super imposed with the boot video.

So your logic is.....Since Apple created a certain look/style, which was then copied...they (Apple) should have to start over, go back to the drawing board, and create something totally "new"....WHY?? So other companies (that you for some strange reason love) can just copy whatever Apple comes up with next? Shouldn't it be the other way around?? You really don't think that the companies copying Apple should be the ones FINALLY creating something "new"?? Isn't this exactly what Samsung should have done from the beginning?!
This is crazy talk...Normally when a girl with big boobs talks, it doesn't matter how stupid they sound....You are the exception to that rule!El Zurdo

Why can't we get a new iPhone instead of an iPhone 4S2? Wow a slightly bigger screen, same 2 year old design, and beefed up internals/came like the damn S models. Add in a hideous two tone back plate? FAIL. 5 years you've had it Apple, now, Droid time.

slomo the video to 0.25x and go to 0:30... you'll see there's a "screen" attached to the original screen, it's not flush with the phone, it stands out
the guy looks like he's doing card tricks, he tries to avoid showing the front of the new phone so ppl won't see how bad the trick looks
at almost all times he shows the back of the old phone rather than the front of the new one
