Apple’s iOS 6 Beta 4 Confirmed to be Jailbroken Using Current RedSn0w
Apple recently released iOS 6 beta 4 with several minor changes, including the omission of the stock YouTube app. iOS 6 is expected to make its public debut alongside the next-generation iPhone but for now it’s in the hands of developers.
For those of you who have access to the beta, you might be glad to know that the latest update can be jailbroken using the current version of the popular RedSn0w tool. The popular hacker and front man of the iPhone Dev Team, MuscleNerd, confirmed that the current version of RedSn0w (0.9.13 dev 3) on Mac and Windows will in fact jailbreak iOS 6 beta 4. Users just have to remember to point RedSn0w to the iOS 6 beta 3 IPSW file.
Just to clarify, the jailbreak is tethered and is even more limited than normal because Cydia won’t even be installed. Some might wonder what the benefit for jailbreaking the iOS 6 beta might be if that’s the case. Currently it is for developers who want to update their Cydia packages for the new OS and test compatibility. The rest of us will have to continue to be patient to wait for a stable public release in the upcoming months.
As of right now, iOS 5.1.1 is the most up to date firmware version that is compatible with a full untethered jailbreak. To learn more, check out our jailbreak assistant.

I'm still waiting for the Apple TV 3G to be jailbroken. I got one not knowing it wasn't jailbreakable.
But its good to know you can downgrade it whenever you like without any problems but I would rather have it jailbroken than anything as stock its totally crap. It's only good for streaming my iPad, other than that its totally useless being outside USA.

Why no mention of devices that are included in this jailbreak? A4 only?

Great news does this mean that we may have a untethered jailbreak sooner when the new i phone is released to the JB community .
sounds like a untethered Jailbreak might be released sooner after the new i phone is released to the JB community keep up the good work guys.

This is an a4 jailbreak which has always been untethered because they have a bootrom exploit this doesn't mean the new iphone will be easy to jailbreak especially untethered because every chip needs a new bootrom exploit so we'll have to wait and see when the new iphone comes out

this has nothing to do with finding a new exploit or having an untethered. All A4 devices forever have a tethered jailbreak using the same old limera1n exploit. Need to wait for final release, then find an exploit (or several) for official untethered.
