Report Claims Pegatron Has Started 6th Generation iPhone Production
Reports out of Asia suggest that Apple's next generation iPhone has already gone into production at Pegatron, one of the company's top manufacturing and production partners in the far east.
Consistent with other reports we've heard and covered in recent weeks, DigiTimes is standing by its claim that the next-gen iPhone is being aggressively pushed through the production and assembly lines of Pegatron's facilities. The devices in question are said to be coming out of the company's factory in Shanghai.
Sources in Taiwan concur that demand for the refreshed iPhone will be substantial and that Apple wants to avoid inventory shortages at all costs. As of this writing, however, it remains a rumor that production is also underway at Foxconn, Apple's largest manufacturing partner and the maker of most iPhones that come out of China.
No word yet on the iPad mini or if production has begun at either Pagatron or Foxconn. In fact, until we know for certain that such a device is coming, all talk of ongoing production within the blogosphere should be taken with a grain of salt.

I can't wait till iPhone 5. Also it's not going to be called iPhone 6, for the morons who think it will be. By that theory GTA 4 should have been GTA 6 but it wasn't.

I can't wait either, Apple makes good products, despite the couple of people who hate on Apple and choose to join an Apple blog and waste breath on how they hate Apple but love the 'Apple Copiers' lol

Neither can I. Names don't matter to me. I just want it.

1st Generation: iPhone (no number)
2nd Generation: iPhone 3G (3G for 3G network connectivity)
3rd Generation: iPhone 3GS ("S" for "speed")
4th Generation: iPhone 4 (4 for 4th generation)
5th Generation: iPhone 4S ("S" for Siri)
It takes a real moron to come up with a naming scheme like that. They should have just stuck with "iPhone" like they do everything else.

this has got to be the dumbest logic i have ever heard.
It will not be called the iphone 5. it is the 6th generation iphone. the number 5 makes absolutely no logical sense to be related to the name of the next iphone.
just the iphone
those all make sense.
The iphone 5 makes absolutely no sense at all
the grand theft auto comparison is absolutely retarded. Apples naming process has absolutely nothing to do with grand theft auto or how they came up with their naming scheme.

Otherwise, I can't wait to get my hands on the next iphone, whatever number it's being issued under - I bet it will be like the new iPad, simply the new iPhone - no 5ves mentioned.

I think it will be called the iPhone 2He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.
