Amazing Alex and Tiny Wings 2 to Hit App Store This Thursday

This Thursday marks the day that two major mobile games are going to be released on the iOS platform. The creators of Angry Birds, Rovio, are releasing their first non-Angry Birds title named Amazing Alex and the sequel to the seventh most purchased iPhone app of all time is also being released, Tiny Wings 2.

The game Amazing Alex is about a kid who turns every task into an adventure that users get to embark in. He does everyday menial tasks such as cleaning his room to farfetched adventures such as fighting cardboard robots in his backyard. What makes this a bit unique though is that he does all of this with chain reactions that users get to pick, adding a level of uniqueness to each person’s play through of the game. The pricing information on the game hasn’t yet been released but it’s likely to be in line with Rovio’s prior games. You can watch a video of Amazing Alex below:



Tiny Wings 2 is a true sequel to the original, featuring the same flight-challenged bird as the well-loved original, which record more than 185,000 ratings on the App Store and maintains an average rating of 4.5 stars. Those of you who enjoyed the first iteration of the game have more of the same to look forward to but with new maps and environments. These two videos are truly inspired. I love the cute Tiny wigs ad. As for the Amazing alex game, it sure feels like that game you wish you could have played at home back when you were a kid. If only I had my own room back then, I would definitely do those little experiments.
