Fake Cydia App Removed from App Store

This past weekend, the App Store had a Cydia knock off, which was a completely bogus app that was falsifying and tricking users into thinking it was the App Store for jailbreak apps and tweaks. The app was a simple-looking game based on the definition of Cydia that was previously explained as the following:
The app didn’t allow you to install any third party packages and just tricked users into thinking they were installing Cydia, the App Store acquired from jailbreaking. The description warned many users but the app managed to fool more people than expected. It previously read:Cydia is actually named after a moth. Cydia pomonella is the scientific name for the “coddling moth,” or what we would most likely recognize as the stereotypical apple worm.
Reviews of the application made it clear that quite a bit of people got tricked into buying this scam app. Most of the reviews are actually negative and Jay “Saurik” Freeman even posted a review which stated the following:Cydia funny and popular snake game you may remember from childhood. Its main character – a kind of caterpillar named Cydia. Collect all the apples and pass as many levels as you can.
Pay attention that this application is not related to Cydia Store. If someone has bought this application by mistake please get a refund.

The app previously sold for $0.99 and the developer probably made quite a bit of money before the app was removed. Although some people will try to get their refund, it is likely that many will not do anything about it at all, count their losses, and just move on.

There's now a "Microsoft Word 2012" app - complete with similar W logo - for (get this) $9.99.
Is Apple even reviewing these things anymore? Evidently at least a few have already been taken - it's just a bunch of "tips". Perhaps their first clue might have been the fact that it's developed by Super Racing Real Games and not Microsoft... you think?

Whatever this guy made off this scam will probably go straight to his legal team when he faces litigation by Saurik LLC. Unless he lives in a country with no trademark laws or something.

these scams end up on the Appstore from time to time.. first time ive seen with cydia, but other scams in deed. Fact is if your to impatient to read a damn description (just to make sure your not seeing things) then you really deserve to be one dollar poorer.. FFS this is the dumbest thing i have ever seen.. the description wasn't even long.. lmao
