When your in an area with the higher quality maps then it's amazing, but otherwise it's not as good as what Google Maps offered -- but not too much worse. Over time all areas will have these higher quality maps xD

Not quite sure why people disagree with the article... Personal preference is directly tied to the features/options their favored device/brand/line/etc offer vs those of the other. Apple adding built-in turn by turn navigation is a huge addition to the features. Combine that with the new passbook and those are two features that definitely make iOS more appealing to others and thus increase their market share and thus decrease the gap.

The thing is this iOS6 map is just like any other map apps that is out right now, the only difference is the looks of it. Nothing new. Why would it be a game changer when nothing significantly changed?

Oh, iOS has free turn by turn navigation built in already?

Any iOS navigation app that's worth a damn costs money unless there's something new out I'm not aware of.

Unless you happen to own the soon to be seriously outdated iPhone 4.
Not a waterboy for Android OR Apple.
