Report: Next-Gen iPhone to Sport HD-Ready Front Facing Camera

Apple is reportedly planning to give the next iPhone an HD front facing camera. That's according to prominent industry analyst and trusted Apple watcher Mingchi Kuo of KGI.

Based on new comments made by Kuo in a note to investors that became public Wednesday, the sixth-generation iPhone is on track to gain the significant hardware updates other analysts have been hyping for months now. In addition to Kuo's expectation of a bigger screen, he also believes the 6th iPhone's front-facing camera will deliver HD capability.

That's just one of the "essential adjustments" coming to the new phone, which likely won't drop until fall. Kuo is similarly banking on a taller device, one that switches from a 3.5-inch 4:3 display to a “4.08-inch in-cell IPS panel screen with a display resolution of 1,136 x 640 and 500-nit brightness” at an aspect ratio of 16:9.

Despite a number of hardware changes and general upgrades anticipated (see projected specs above), Kuo maintains that Apple will still manage to slim down the iPhone to at least 7.9mm. The iPhone 4S, for example, has a depth of 9.3mm. Just deploying the in-cell touchscreen display will trim some of the iPhone's fat so to speak by as much as 0.4mm.

Too many buttons will make the iPhone unattractive dude. Jailbreak hacks allows you to use the existing buttons to take photo.

I hope they do this cause the front camera stinks during FaceTime but now the Internet won't be fast enough
