may i ask for the reason why numbers of ppl are not willingly to go for 5.1.1? I heard that 5.1.1 has much better battery management, especially on the 4s, doesn't it?

Yes it does help the battery life for the 4s iPhone 4 not sure. I got the blobs saved for 5.1.1 so I can just go there whenever just to lazy to update hehehe

I updated an iPod touch to iOS 5.1.1 and the battery lasts the same to me. It wasn't bad anyways.

There have been cases in which the device gets updated even tho It is jailbroken and end up with a boot loop or tethered jailbreak

It's just lazyness, having to do all the process all over again, also the update doesn't look that great either. But if you don't mind doing it then do it. Good luck, greetings
