I don't know why people update their iphones just for minor updates (5.1-5.1.1) and then insist for an untethered jailbreak. At least wait patiently.

pod2G is very good - and a lot other very good people are helping him.

If it can be done, I'm sure it will be.

Latest redsnow will do a tethered jailbreak for you. An what firmware are you on to see if ya can jailbreak.
