Deck Updated - Includes Demanded Features
Deck, the amazing shortcut menu for iOS by iOS development team SBCoders, has just been improved with a major update (version 1.0.0-8) bringing tons of highly demanded features from users to life. Three major features, pictured above, include being able to open Deck from applications and not just from the home screen (support for the lock screen coming soon), the ability to launch Deck from the left side of the screen instead of the right, and the ability to change the appearance of Deck to a lighter shade of gray.
The main pane of Deck now shows a Settings application shortcut button instead of a favorites button for getting to your system and application shortcuts. Your system and application shortcuts are now accessed by tapping on the arrow at the top of the pane:
Whatís more is Deck is gaining all kinds of support for third party applications for its shortcuts. There are tons of applications in the App Store and Cydia, which are capable of doing more than Appleís stock iOS applications. For this, we can now choose between different e-mail clients for using with our e-mail shortcut, several different kinds of music clients for using with our music shortcut, and different camera applications for using with our camera shortcut button:
Applications that are now Deck-compatible:
- iPod or Music application
- TuneIn Radio
- TuneIn Radio Pro
- Camera application
- Mail application
Apart from those larger improvements, there are a myriad of smaller improvements. These include: the ability to kick your device into safe mode, swipe gestures, a brightness slider shortcut, a button to kill backgrounded applications, options for adjusting the dimness of your screen when launching Deck, ability to toggle all cellular data on or off (lone-standing 3G toggle still being worked on), updated animations, a frequently asked questions shortcut from Deckís preferences pane in the Settings application, a new preferences pane icon, stability improvements, and bug fixes.
So far, the updates are great. SBCoders still has a ton more features they are actively working on in another future update to make Deck even better. The update is completely free for all current Deck customers; if you donít own Deck yet, buying it will set you back $1.99 from Cydia in the ModMyi repository.
We donít have too many 5/5 jailbreak tweaks anymore, but Deck is certainly one of them. With the great developer support and the features that just keep coming and coming, I highly recommend Deck for anyone with a jailbroken iOS device.

If u can still use deck then there is no reason to go into safe mode lol, because if there was actually an issue deck would be the problem

Seems to work on ios 5.1 so far. No issues yet
It works with iOS 5.1 but with some issues. That should be quick to address. Hopefully it will be released for it soon!!

This update has turned a very good tweak into a great one. It's replaced SBSettings as my phone's "mission control."
No iPad support yet, but all in good time I do believe. Same with iOS 5.1.

Dah! I find out about a rather nice tweak and can't use it because my brother thought it would be a cool prank to update my phone to 5.1 before I could remember to save my SHSH for 5.0.1 and the tweak doesn't support 5.1 yet.

I can't wait for iPad support, this looks awesome and I think it's going to replace SBSettings on my iPad as soon as its supported!

aesthetics is a matter of personal taste. personally, i like the way my sbsettings go away after the purpose has been served rather than clutter up my screen, a screen which took a considerable amount of personal time to personalize! furthermore, i double dog dare anything else to beat the price!

I'll give you that it has price but come on. A couple of dollars?! Who cares?! I'm using a £500 device why do I care about a couple of dollars? The more money pumped into jailbreaking community the more it will grow.

kudos to the jailbreaking community. i continue to support those efforts, especially with the $10 i paid for truprint. certainly, it's not about the dollars, pounds or euros. i lose that much every time i do laundry. ... but hey, if deck works for you, that's laundry money well spent. as for me, it's about the screen. the medium is the message.
