[Review] SiriSports - Sports Information From Siri
Yet another awesome AssistantExensions add-on for Siri has been invented, this time dubbed SiriSports by iOS developer Evan Coleman. If you remember SiriNBA (also by Evan Coleman), it did the same thing SiriSports will do, except it was limited only to the NBA. SiriSports is like SiriNBA on steroids in that it supports the NBA, MLB, and NHL. The best part? – It's absolutely free in Cydia today!
Unfortunately, SiriSports doesn’t support NFL yet. However if you’re a basketball, baseball, or hockey fan and you have Siri capability (including Spire) on your iOS 5 device(s), then you might very well appreciate SiriSports for keeping in touch with your favorite sports while you’re on the fly. Not only will SiriSports tell you what games will be played the day you ask, but you can ask other things as well:
You can ask Siri who won a game or who is winning a game, and Siri will go ahead and find the current score for you. Additonally, you can ask Siri for help with a particular sport and she will tell you all of the things you can ask her about that sport. SiriSports also comes with a preferences pane in the Settings application:
The preferences for SiriSports are simple to understand, comprising of simply the ability to enable and disable certain sports. Evan promises that more sports will be added in the future as his development with SiriSports continues. As SiriSports is an AssistantExtensions add-on, if you don’t have it installed already it will be installed as a dependency.
SiriSports is not for everyone, as only people with a liking for sports will ever find it handy. If you are not into sports, I cannot really ever see you wanting to use this. On the other hand, if you enjoy sports, then you will not want to miss SiriSports because it will only be helpful to you. SiriSports does not slow Siri down or have any incompatibilities and you can start using it right after you install it.
Requirements: iOS 5, Siri/Spire

This works great. It would be nice if future versions could handle a question like "Who won the last Knicks game?"

should I delete SiriNBA now that I downloaded SiriSports?

SiriNBA will automatically be removed. Definitely a big improvement.

this is absolutely incredible. I emailed the dev a week or so ago about one for MLB and then he released this. Great work. Thank you.

I would imagine the NFL is not supported yet because....well, there is no NFL right now. You can't ask Siri "when do the niners play" when there are no games scheduled, or any source or database for Siri to look at. When football season comes around, the NFL will be there! Along with a price tag!El Zurdo

Still doesn't recognize the 76ers as the Sixers.
Would also be nice if stats and depth charts were eventually added as well; "What's Dirk Nowitzki's scoring average?" "What's Kobe Bryant's field-goal percentage?" "Who's starting for the Knicks tonight?"
This add-on is still very limited at this stage.
