Lyricalizer Update Brings iPhone and iPod Touch Compatibility

If you remember Lyricalizer, it was originally released for the iPad only because the developer, ac3xx, thought it was unfair of Apple to have removed lyric functionality from the Music application on the iPad in iOS 5 – especially with such a large screen to take advantage of. Not only did Lyricalizer re-add lyric functionality to the iPad, but Lyricalizer will search the Internet to grab lyrics automatically, so you don’t have to add them manually through iTunes.
Now, you can download Lyricalizer for the iPhone and iPod touch. The new version will set you back $1.29 to reserve a copy, just like the iPad version and you will still be able to grab lyrics without needing to add them through iTunes as Lyricalizer grabs lyrics from MetroLyrics, AZLyrics, and Lyrics.com in that specific order. In this new version, lyric detection has been changed for all iDevices and an iPad rotation bug has been squashed.
Lyricalizer still requires iOS 5 to install and doesn’t support any music applications except for Apple’s stock Music application. The speed for grabbing lyrics using Lyricalizer takes around two seconds and the lyrics are grabbed once you enable lyric view for the song by tapping on the album artwork. Unfortunately, Lyricalizer does not store the lyric information it finds of the song the way iTunes does – within the file. If you sync a song where you found lyrics to the computer, the lyrics will not transfer over to the computer with the song.
Being able to grab lyrics automatically while on the fly is incredibly convenient, although it requires an internet connection to use so unless you have Wi-Fi everywhere, the iPod touch could have trouble using Lyricalizer at times. The iPhone on the other hand, always having some sort of active data connection will normally always be able to find lyrics for you. If you listen to a lot of music on your iDevice from the Music application, then I can recommend this tweak to you.
Name: Lyricalizer
