Sn0wbreeze Version 2.9.2 Released

Sn0wbreeze is a Windows alternative to using redsn0w to jailbreak your iDevices by iOS hacker iH8sn0w. Granted redsn0w also has a Windows counterpart, sn0wbreeze does not have a Mac version. The newest sn0wbreeze update, version 2.9.2, now supports iOS 5.1 for a tethered jailbreak on all non-A5 devices. The iPhone 3GS with the old bootrom will still have an untethered jailbreak as they always have with iOS 5.
Additionally, bug fixes have been implemented to aid along with the iPad baseband and iPhone 2G. The iPhone Dev-Team's iPhone 2G permanent unlock 'BootNeuter' has been added back into sn0wbreeze as well. Full change log available here. You can download the new sn0wbreeze version 2.9.2 from this link.
Sn0wbreeze v2.9.2 supports all iDevices EXCEPT iPhone 4S, iPad 2, and Apple TV. The following firmwares are supported:- 3.1.3
- 3.2.x
- 4.0.x
- 4.1
- 4.2.1 - 4.2.8
- 4.3 - 4.3.3
- 5.0.1
- 5.1
If you have an A5 device, sn0wbreeze will not jailbreak it – not even tethered. Redsn0w also will not jailbreak any A5 devices. The A5 device lineup does not have a bootrom exploit yet and there is currently no way to downgrade your firmware back to iOS 5.0.1 if you have upgraded to iOS 5.1 as Apple has stopped signing the iOS 5.0.1 firmware for all devices.

Nice. I just restored both iPad1 and IPhone4 to IOS 5.01 the day 5.1 came out. Luckily as they stopped signing it now.
I will stay where I am till a untethered jailbreak comes out. Or the Galaxy Beam is released whichever is first.

I dont get how people "accidentaly" update their phones. The phones dont update automatically or without the user's confirmation.
You have to plug phone into computer, open itunes, and confirm the update.

There is an Untethered Jailbreak for 5.0.1 if you didn't know already and as for iOS 5.1 I am sure they will find a quick get around for it

That is if the jailbreak community wants to of course. :P
edit: I see I may have misread your post o.O oh well the info is still in this one
Sometimes they forget to keep automatic updates off. The default as I have seen is on. I messed with my buddies iphone 4 to jailbreak it and saw it was on in the settings just after I had updated it to 5.0.1
Just giving you the info.Last edited by blackeyedgamer; 03-10-2012 at 03:58 PM.
