[Review] MemoCenter - Take Quick Notes From Notification Center

Let’s face it; there are times when we need to jot down quick notes. There is a Notes application on the iPhone, but why not make it more enjoyable and use a quick widget in Notification Center? The new and free MemoCenter for Notification Center jailbreak widget by iOS developer jujucool290 will let you do so. Additionally, the interface is minimalistic and it doesn’t produce very much lag for Notification Center at all.

With MemoCenter, you have the power to save notes in Notification Center using unlimited characters. It incorporates three buttons that can be used for copying the text, deleting the text, or closing the keyboard. MemoCenter is compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5 and it’s completely free. It works just fine with IntelliScreenX and other third party Notification Center widgets. If you're looking for a quick way to jot something down, then MemoCenter is great way to do it.

MemoCenter isn’t without its shortcomings. For one, you can’t use the native iOS copy and paste functions. What’s more is the buttons on the right side just appear strangely in comparison to the rest of the widgets that appear in Notification Center – this is due to symmetrical reasons. If you’re picky about cosmetics, then MemoCenter may cause you to twitch a little bit. Functionally, MemoCenter works great!

Like all iOS widgets, MemoCenter can be enabled and disabled at any time from the Settings application under the Notifications section. Simply dragging the widget in and out of Notification Center will enable and disable it.

I just use the SBSettings fast notes thing... My only issue is that it takes a while to close the keyboard on iPT 4G

This tweak has an issue with IntelliscreenX and/or Lockinfo. Lockinfo for some reason by default ALWAYS seems to turn on the Notification Center tweaks in it which is very annoying. Lockinfo is what's causing the crash. It does this for a few Notification Center tweaks. The update even said that it was fixed, which it wasn't. I had to use SBSettings in Safe Mode to turn off Lockinfo in Mobilesubstrate for it to stop crashing then turn off the plugin in the Lockinfo settins. When I went into Settings > Notfications, the Settings app froze, became very slow and eventually stopped responding. Might wanna fix that.. Uninstalled for now

btw: That close button is so you can get rid of the keyboard but I agree with the paste button idea

oh and also the french stuff is just the dev asking for donations because the tweak is free but seriously réparer le tweak, dammit. Maybe i'll consider donating mon ami *french accent*
