Apple Releases Two New iPhone 4S Ads Which Showcase Siri
Apple recently posted two new video ads showcasing how Siri on the iPhone 4S can help people achieve their dreams. In this particular case, the dreams include cross-country road trips and playing in a rock band.
The two new ads were released recently on both Apple’s website and its YouTube channel as a part of a series of ads for the company’s latest product, the iPhone 4S. These two new commercials join previous commercials, which highlighted iCloud and the new camera found on the device, along with where the bulk of the advertising efforts have been spent, showcasing Siri.
In the first commercial titled “Road Trip,” a couple continually asks for directions, nearby locations, activities, and other information while on their trip from the east coast to the west coast in the United States. Siri provides useful information in all aspects of their cross-country trip. The commercial ends with the couple standing at the Pacific Ocean where the woman tells Siri to “Remind her to do this again,” at which point Siri responds “okay, I’ll remind you.”
The next commercial titled “Rock God” begins with a boy telling Siri that he has to get a guitar. Siri helps him learn to play his instrument, make a list of band names, and send messages to his friends that his band will be playing in a garage. To add a bit of humor to the commercial, the boy tells Siri to call him a “Rock God” at the end of the commercial, at which point Siri responds with “From now on, I’ll call you ‘Rock God’. OK?”
The commercials are trying to show the average consumer all the different things Siri is capable of doing. Many of you folks who read ModMyi frequently are probably well aware of all the features showcased in the commercials but the average consumer might not be. The features are highlighted in a continued effort to show that Siri is more than just a gimmick as many people continue to voice their disappointment in the voice assistant.

"Siri, give me directions to Santa Cruz California....". AWESOME!!!!! I was born and raised in Santa Cruz!! Being a huge iPhone fan, seeing Santa Cruz mentioned in a iPhone commercial was pretty freaking cool for me!
What's funny is at the end of the commercial, they should be in Santa Cruz, but it looks to me like they are somewhere near Monterey...Oh well, I'll take it!El Zurdo

The potential for Siri is great. As of now, I can use it for scheduling, timer-setting, directions, and uh, oh yeah weather... but not where I am. I see great potential- translations, control of common iOS functions- endless opportunities with delayed deployment. Obviously, it will only get better with use, but for me and now, it's just a easy-to-use kitchen timer.

Siri is over rated. I leave her turned off( LOL, I have never said that before). Siri would be awesome if I was blind though.

Either I've completely lost interest of this so called "news" or your community college grade writers are seriously scrounging for material to showcase on this website.

I love all the Siri tweaks that are emerging now that the 4s is Jailbroken. I can't wait till she sounds like Mr. T! That would be EPIC!I always thought the term "early adopter" (regarding tech) was a bit snooty. So, I'll go ahead and call myself an early adopter, cuz I'm feeling a bit snooty.

they reference my little city, Amarillo TX, in one of the new commercials. It was the first time I was proud of this little dust bowl

For the blind... That's something I hadn't thought of... Again, great potential, just not there yet.
