Pod2g Posts Demo of Working iPhone 4S Untethered Jailbreak

A ton of brief updates flooded the Twitterverse today highlighting minor advancements in the iPhone 4S and A5 untethered jailbreak. However, none of them were quite as telling as the video above of a working iPhone 4S untethered jailbreak.

The video made by @DHowett, Chronic Dev Team member and famous iOS developer, shows a jailbroken iPhone 4S successfully shutting down, rebooting, and remaining jailbroken. @DHowett even launches Cydia to confirm that the iPhone is indeed recognized as an iPhone 4S by Cydia.

Those working on the A5 jailbreak still haven't announced a release date, but this video indicates a public release is closer than ever.

The video is irrelevant because they've had a working jb (which I believe was untethered) for awhile now. It just used a dev account as the injection vector (think xcode) so it couldn't be released. This is more of a haha look what I've got video than anything new. They really aren't much farther along than last week. Sorry but the truth hurts.

Don't count on it. It'll still have to be packaged up and I'm sure the software will have to be finished up. These guys are geniuses! I hope like hell they'll be able to keep up the good work on future devices and firmwares. If anybody can it'll be them.

Wow! Is every comment you post pessimistic? Jesus you must have a very dark and miserable life. All they're trying to do is give people a glimpse of what's to come. Seriously if you bring up your profile and read your posts it's all negative or just to come down on somebody else for their post.
