Call of Duty Elite iOS App Released by Activision

Activision recently announced that its Call of Duty Elite mobile app is arriving on iOS today and those who are interested can pick it up from the App Store. The app requires you to be registered to the Elite service (which works to track all of your stats from the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions of the game) to gain access to the features provided. Once logged in, users will be able to check out the services various “Connect, Compare, and Compete” functions like browsing your stats, looking at clan information, and even checking out official Activision contests and standings.
According to the folks over at Joystiq, the Elite app will offer four main areas of mobile control:
The app is fairly impressive and doesn’t require a full subscription to the service for access to the features. There is a subscription available for some more premium features but isn’t required to be able to use the app. Users can see their stats in a clearly laid out and well-designed interface that syncs almost instantaneously from the console game to the mobile app. Furthermore, the app will is free so if you’re on Elite, there really is no reason to not go ahead and grab it.• Career summary: Just like Elite main, check stats and general player information on yourself and others you've played
• Recent matches: After-action report on the past 10 matches, including scores, kill/death ratios, map information for yourself and others in the match
• Challenge Tracker: Tracks your progress through specific challenges
• Customize classes: Modify your loadout -- weapons, perks, attachments -- and push custom classes directly to game
Now if you don’t play Call of Duty or use Elite, then the app is pretty useless but so would your time being spent reading this article! It’s important to note that the app is probably amongst one of the better decisions Activision has made regarding the iOS platform as of right now so if it does end up becoming even remotely popular, we might be seeing more apps from the company for the iOS platform in the future.
Are any of you iOS-using Call of Duty fans planning to pick up the app? Share any thoughts and opinions below!

You can't really do anything but look at stats and change your custom classes. There's no option for clans and operations and whatnot

Speaking of.. Does anyone know if you can have a clan on COD Elite containing some people from Xbox 360 and some from PS3? Because I have PS3 and a lot of my friends have Xbox, though I'd still like to start a clan.
