MuscleNerd and Pod2g Update Progress of A5 Jailbreak

Pod2g stated some important information on his Twitter this morning.
As we are waiting for the A5 jailbreak to become a reality, many were upset when pod2g announced that an A5 jailbreak is currently not possible. It seems that when he said that, he was simply explaining why there wasn't one yet. The hacker and his dream team continue to barrel forward with progress. MuscleNerd earlier retweeted pod2g on Twitter in that saurik helped contribute with the A5 jailbreak's progress. So far this is saurik's second time helping with the A5 untether and we appreciate his efforts. The hope is that the already untethered A4 jailbreak that pod2g released at the end of last year will be ported to the A5 processors.
Pod2g afterwards tweeted that planetbeing was able to escape the sandbox of Apple's devices. Planetbeing put a lot of time and effort into doing it. This is great news because the sandbox is one of the tough security measures that makes hacking into an iDevice hard. Escaping the sandbox means that more progress can be made. It's great to know that level of the game has been beaten.
The current untethered jailbreak that pod2g has for the A5 jailbreak required an exploit that only developers could use which is why they could not release it to the public. As he mentions in the tweet, it is imperative that the exploit used is kept a secret as it could be of use in the future. Not everyone is a developer so that means that not everyone would have the jailbreak anyway. We know that a select few of the people out there with developer accounts would have settled for this jailbreak, but unfortunately you're going to have to wait until everyone can have the jailbreak.
The dream team is working hard and more progress has been shown. Pod2g Tweets on Twitter that there is no estimated time for arrival for the A5 jailbreak yet, but with more progress being achieved we know that it is only a matter of time before one of the genius hackers finds the light at the end of the long, dark tunnel.

Good news. Let's hope they don't loose sight of "jailbreak detection" either. More apps are starting to detect if your jailbroken and refuse to run. Maybe we can come up with our own VM process or a non-jailbroken sandbox for these apps. The nail in the coffin will be the day Apple protects its stock apps like Mail, Contacts, calendars, phone, settings, etc.

There is no way in hell that Jay Saurik or any of the other developers are going to let their underground cash empire be tampered with or fold up due to a "no jailbreak". There's always going to be someone that will get it done for the right price. He will always find someone to keep the show going. Of course he's throwing support their way! There's more than one motive to keep all of this going and it sure as hell just isn't " Oh, it's so iDevice users can be free!" C'mon, now people.

The principle behind "jailbreaking" was NEVER "so all idevice users can have everything for free", and not once does the article mention "Saurik and all other Dreamteamers are doing all this so that the masses won't suffer, goodness of their hearts and for no profit". In fact feeling a sense of any entitlement towards everything for free is ridiculous to say the least. But anyways it's been said before. There's nothing wrong in making money doing something that benefits others and supporters are willing to pay for them. Anybody that pays bills understands that. I hope...

it's a developer exploit right now I think is what he is saying but it's close for userland exploit so it can't be released yet

True, you have to figure Apple is paying guys to sit at a desk all day everyday who are just as talented at safeguarding idevices as these guys are at jailbreaking them.
Seems the cat and mouse game that has been going on for years is drawing to a close.
I have no doubt the A5 chip will get jailbroken in time though.
