[Review] Put A Date Cell In Your Notification Center
It's so simple, that it's elegant.
If you ever fumble around for the date, then this Notification Center tweak might be useful to you. It's called SimpleDate for NotificationCenter and it has been made by a developer that goes by the name of Shades. The idea behind this Notification Center tweak is to put a small, elegant date cell in your Notification Center so that you have an easy way to access the date whenever you might need it.
To me, this tweak does seem pointless, although elegant. The iOS Calendar application already shows the date, however it only shows the day of the week and the date of the month. This tweak shows the day of the week, the month, the date of the month, and the year. It's also done elegantly. The little cell can be put right in your Notification Center and look like Apple put it there. There are no settings to configure the appearance the date, so unfortunately you better enjoy seeing the day of the week before the date or you won't like the tweak.
The, "widget" as the developer calls it, really isn't a widget. It's just a little cell that updates the date as the days go by. This tweak might seem useless to most of the jailbreaking populous, but I think that it is cool to have just because it's so clean. It fits in nicely without any strange colors or shapes.
If you're an IntelliScreenX user, then you already have the date in your Notification Center - so downloading this Notification Center tweak would be pointless. Because this tweak is so small, it doesn't slow down Notification Center or cause lagginess. You can enable and disable SimpleDate for NotificationCenter in the Notifications settings of your Settings application where you adjust the rest of your Notification Center widget settings. SimpleDate for NotificationCenter is a free tweak and can be downloaded as of right now. It does require iOS 5 because it uses Notification Center.
Do I recommend it? I think that there's no real use for it. However it's lightweight and free and makes Notification Center do something that it never did before (without paying $9.99 for IntelliScreenX, that is). I would say yes, I recommend it. Eh, 'A' for effort!

Pretty sweet, I prefer that one tweak(can't remember the name)
Where it has a whole month calendar. I'd recommend not putting so many widgets in NC cause of the lag. Sbsettings and another is cool but after that you'll notice.

It causes noticeable lag in the drop-down and scrolling animations of my notification center. I had BBSettings running without this and there was no animation lag (of course there's loading lag when you first open it). Once I replace BBSettings with this I get animation lag (but no loading lag). I removed them both (I actually removed BBSettings because it uses too much memory).
The lag doesn't start until this cell enters the screen, so it's definitely due to this tweak.
