Apple's 12 Days of Christmas App Starts Giving Today (Canada and Europe Only)

Apple released their 12 days of Christmas App to Canada and most of Europe earlier this month (here's the original story), with the intent of releasing free songs, videos, apps and books through the App for 12 days starting today. I’m still a little perplexed that Apple isn’t running this promotion in the U.S., especially since the app/promotion is in its 4th year of existence.
Well the first day of Christmas includes a little Coldplay love.
Those who downloaded the app will be gifted three songs and videos from Coldplay. The free swag includes the songs Every Teardrop is a Waterfall, God Put a Smile Upon Your Face and Fix You. The app is compatible with nearly every iDevice since the original iPad (sorry no iPhone 2G, 3G or iPod 2G support) and requires iOS 4.3 or later to run. Sadly the free content is only available for 24 hours and can only be downloaded over a WiFi network.
For those of you residing in Canada or Europe (sorry us Yanks miss out), remember to activate push notifications for the app during setup or if you accidentally click “no”, they can be activated via Settings—Notifications—12 days. This will help ensure those who have the app don't forget to take advantage of all the goodies Apple throws their way.

Last year had some decent apps. This year a good start with coldplay and the (good British) top gear.
10 more to go!
