Really!? I'm sure the devs have been constantly Trying to find a JB for 4S, but obviously haven't been able to because of the A5 processor (iPad 2 also). For somebody who has NEVER contributed to finding an exploit or probably any other iOS development you sure are incredibly ungrateful. The older devices have a JB because they've been easier to break. Just because the iPad 2 and 4s have been released doesn't mean that they should just stop trying to find exploits for older devices. And if you look closely you'd see that pod2g has a working UNTETHERED JB for older devices but hasn't released it.......why do you think that is? Maybe so he can possibly release exploits for all devices. Just a thought, can't know for sure. But why not give these guys some credit where credit is due and maybe donate some $ for all the previous exploits you've selfishly used in the past?
And he fixed the issue so maybe you should really donate some $ now!

Here ya go, straight from his blog:
OK, figured it out, the A5 cache is not a problem anymore.
I sorted it out by doing the untether in a single thread and by flushing all the dcache then all the icache in a row at a strategical point of the process.
It took me like a hundred of tests to find the key. Hard for the nerves.
For the tech guys, here is a link explaining issues related to self modifying code ( or code patching ) on the ARM platform : Caches and Self-Modifying Code - ARM Community
Another news : I discussed with @saurik today about the launchd boot process, and he's found one missing piece of the puzzle I needed to have a perfectly stable jailbreak. He's definitly one of the best iOS gurus out there. Thank you saurik!

I think it's best to just wait until the untethered is ready because if pod2g comes out with a tethered first wouldn't apple see the holes he used and come out with a update to close the holes?

Can ANYBODY verify either one of those supposed jailbreaks? I'd think if it was real we'd def be seeing a lot more of I advertising for it. Seems shady to me.

No need to verify. You can just look at the names and the source and tell it is fake.

They just came out of the blue? Doubt it! I'd only believe the reputable coders, dunno who these guys are.
