I can't wait. I honestly switched over to the dark side and bought a Galaxy SII Skyrocket just to change it up for me a little bit. My iPhone 4 has been waiting in the closet patiently awaiting for Siri and an untethered jailbreak since I switched. Hopefully the Devs release it before years end!

May be a dumb question but should I go ahead and update to 5.0.1 or can I stay on 5.0? Thanks again for answering my crazy question. Haha

I still don't believe it's legal to port Siri even if it's open filesystem. You still using Apple codes and server (unless your rich and could share your server). Just because you have the access to the Siri files necessary to port it, doesn't mean it's ok to use them. Apple left the filesystem open as a bait so they could sue the crap out of anyone stupid enough to fall for it.

Surely just because we have the files does not mean that we are legally entitled to use them. Isn't that what licensing is about? By this definition, because I have Office 2010 installed on my computer and a sufficient app to circumvent the activation process, means I'm legal? I don't think so.

great news. nice feature to have siri on ip4

Siri needs 4S authentication, based on a unique device id which is refreshed periodically. Porting the files and having Siri still does not bypass this requirement for it to work. Get clarity.@Metaserph
