Microsoft Releases Xbox Live App for iOS Devices
Xbox 360 owners can now check out their online profiles using their iOS devices. Larry Hyrb, better known as Major Nelson, the Xbox Live Programming Director recently unveiled an Xbox Live app for the iOS platform called My Xbox LIVE.
The app lets users send messages, manage friend lists, edit profiles, change the features on an avatar, and view game achievement progress. You can now stay connected to the Xbox Live community on the go with ease using this new app, which has been integrated very well. The app also utilizes the Metro design which is Microsoft’s new UI concept that the company seems to be using on its own platforms. The design has been seen on Microsoft’s recent Xbox Live update, on the Xbox website, on the Windows Phone platform, and on the Windows 8 platform (which debuted on tablets during this year’s Build conference). Furthermore, the app functions just like it would on Windows Phone 7 with features such as the ability to have your avatar fall upon shaking your iOS device.
For those of you who are gamers like me, the Xbox Live app is everything you would want on your iOS device and more. Some may feel that the Metro design is not fit for iOS devices but for those of us who have an Xbox 360, it’s a beautiful UI which brings familiarity from the gaming console itself and its website to your Apple device. If you want to check out more pictures of the app, hit the appropriate button in the source link below!
For you Xbox Live users, check out the app and share your thoughts and opinions. Feel free to add me to your friends on Xbox Live if you want to play sometime! (Just mention that you are from MMi in the friend request message)

It should be noted that this requires iOS 4.3 or higher, so if you're still on anything older and holding out for an un-tethered 5 jailbreak before updating, you're SOL at the moment.

Shocking, to say the least. They were basically bragging about how cool this feature was in windows phone 7 (I relize it has expanded functionality in wp7 still).
