iBooks Gets a Night-Time Reading Theme
Do you ever read eBooks at night?
When you're in the dark, a little screen with an LED back light can feel like a flashlight in your face. This effect is dramatized by brighter colors and people generally prefer to be looking at darker colors on their screen when they are sitting in a pitch black room with an LED back-lit screen in their face. Thanks to Apple's new iBooks, you can have just that, with a new night-time reading theme which uses darker colors instead of using the original light-page-color with the black text. I suppose it's nothing too big that many would cheer about, however being that it makes reading easier in the dark, this new feature is always welcome. When reading the in dark, you can turn on this option and it will look like the image above.
Additionally, iBooks comes with a new full-screen option. Full screen books are always nice since it helps make reading them a more visually entertaining experience. There's less around the line of view and it means less clutter. So that feature is always welcome, especially to large screens like the iPad, or even smaller screens with limited pixels like the iPhone or iPod touch.
iBooks is a free download from Apple's App Store and can be downloaded from this link. The changelog includes the following new features:

Too bad it doesn't work still on iOS5 jailbroken devices. Sure I could do the work around but I didn't have many books in there anyway.

what about jailbroken handsets? there had to be a fix for ibooks previously, does this mess with the modifications?

I did the workaround for my iBooks, which is a generation before this one. Does anyone know if the same workaround will work for this new version?
Edit: for iOS5

Good question. If it's not some sappy romantic vampire novel, I'd like to know too.

Yeah, I want to know too. I read that little bit and now I want to read the rest.
