Interactive iOS Skyrim Map Coming Soon

Skyrim is massive. Skyrim takes up too much of my time. Skyrim needs effective and inexpensive public transportation. However, Skyrim is not Portland, and the upcoming “Dragon Shout” iOS interactive map for Skyrim is the next best thing.
Dragon Shout is much more than a bland PDF map users can swipe through, it includes interactive elements like annotated markers for anything including alchemy components. According to an interview with TouchArcade the developers plan to turn Dragon Shout into a Skyrim social hub of sorts allowing marker sharing, picture sharing, app-wide chats and more.
Dragon shout is free sweetening the deal for heavy Skyrim players, which is most likely all Skyrim players. Anyone else would take one look at the in-game map, realize the three inches they moved on the map took 10 minutes of game-time and go back to Modern Warfare Three."The first version of the app contains an interactive map where you can drop annotated markers / journal entries down," the developer told us. "For example, yesterday I played Skyrim and left a bunch of dragon scales and bones on the side of a mountain because they were too heavy.
I will come back and get them some other time so I marked it on the map so I know where it's at in the future. Another example is I'm always looking for the right ingredients for potions, so when I come across an important ingredient, I mark it on the map so I know where to get it next time." —
Expect Dragon Shout to be available in the the App Store within the next few days.

While I don't own the game, I find that VERY awesome! This could probably be done for other games as well, and Skyrim is a great start.

I've been playing it religiously everyday since release. So far I've only managed to complete two quest lines, the companions quests in whiterun and the mages guild in Winterhold. I've basically just been running around doing random things, miscelaneous quests etc. I think I've done something like 90 mini quests. I didn't want to hammer into the main quest right away so I tend to leave that till I e exhausted all other guilds and quests. The only tip I can give is just play it your own way, there's no right or wrong way to play. Going on my progress so far I've easily got another 100+ hours of goodness to get through, so this interactive map should be useful to me when released, just wish I had it 2 weeks ago.
Edit: I'd do the companions quests first as they are quite easy.Last edited by Hedrush; 11-29-2011 at 11:25 AM.

I'm afraid to cave and get Skyrim. I know it will be the death of me. I've already wasted like a week of playing time on MW3, I can't afford a new game. Skyrim would definitely get me divorced.

I received Skyrim through Gamefly on release day. Totally planned on buying it; and still will buy it. I wish I had more time to play. I try to play every chance I get but the past month my time was mostly sleep, see wife in hospital, and work; rinse and repeat for a month. Some how in that time though I did get in 50+ hours of play and still feel I have not done anything. It is massive and interactive maps are always a plus but didn't want to spend $30+ on the strat guide that came with an interactive guide. So can't wait for this.
