Give Your Device a "Buzz" When Launching an App with LaunchVibrate

Make your device vibrate each and every time you open an application.
If you're looking to get a sensation or fanfare prior to opening an application on your SpringBoard, LaunchVibrate may be for you. Install LaunchVibrate from Cydia to have your device vibrate each and every time you open an application; without fail. With no options or settings to configure, you can get your device "buzzin'" right from the get-go. It's compatible on iOS 4+ and on any iDevice on the market that is compatible with those firmwares. To top things off, it's also free.
Name: LaunchVibrate
Author: Ron Melkhior
Version: 1.0
Price: Free
Now here comes the question of the day; how is this useful? To be completely honest, I find this more of a toy than anything else. As someone who prefers the "essentials" or "necessities," LaunchVibrator is not a keeper for me. It's almost a nuisance in a way depending on how many applications you open in a specific period of time.
Do you see LaunchVibrate potentially useful? Or completely the opposite? How about places for improvement (if any)?

Who the heck would ever want this? A great way to kill your battery just alittle faster
Let's all slap the developer in the face with an uncooked Fish

Interesting... I think I'll pass due to the battery issue.

Ugghhh I couldn't imagine a more pointless and useless app!

This app interests me more than the NBA season being back...... And I have no interest in this app.
This falls in line with any haptic feedback, pointless battery killer in my book but to each his own.
I however say good job because I can't write any app so I'm not going to diss the maker.

It's true...why would anyone really "need" this. Keyboard vibrate feedback, some people like that so its fine, but vibrate on apps launching? I think I would know if an app was launched or not. It's just pointless IMO.

I agree that this would be an extraneous waste on battery and it serves no important purpose.
I suppose that if you are blind and want to know when you open an application you might like this.

I'm the developer, and I know. It's pretty pointless tweak, but I released it only because I saw that few people (or even more, that I just don't know) was interested in tweak like that.

I mean kudos on developing it. I have some coding experience but not enough to create an app. However, i know enough to understand it isn't an easy task. I'm curious as to why people requested it though, in all sincerity.

Regardless if the app is useful or not we should just appreciate the time and effort people use to create them

1st of all, it's a tweak not an app. And 2nd, it's free. The dev isn't asking $9.99 for it.
Cydia has an infinite amount of tweaks that I consider useless, but I'm glad they're all there IF I decide I want them some day. That's what jailbreaking is for, isn't it? To make your i do something apple didn't intend it too? I've seen some people customize their UI to what I consider to cluttered, useless, and ugly, but I'm glad they have the ability to do just that.
What if the dev had some idea for 'the next big thing' but didn't feel like investing the time because he/she feels the community is full of ungrateful jerks?

Why so much hate on something that some people out there want? Thanks to the developer for making this. I use haptic and love it because I finally don't have to stare at my keyboard to know if I'm typing correctly or not. And as for battery drainage...one way or the other my phone is below 50% by evening wether I'm using haptic or not so it really doesn't matter. I always recharge every night so batter consumption is really a mute point. If you're really concerned so much with battery life then do you always have your 3G turned off? Because that's a huge battery drain. Argue about something worth while...like how nobody really cares about the NBA and wouldn't even notice if it didn't come back on
Baseball season is just months away!!!!!
